Resources for Decreasing Plastic Usage

Simple ways to decrease your plastic usage:

  1. Use reusables! Consider switching out your plastic silverware, plastic straw, plastic water bottles, plastic sandwich and snack bags, and plastic grocery bags for reusable ones. There are many more plastic products you can switch out for reusables, just look around your home.

  2. Consider not putting your vegetables and fruits in plastic produce bags

  3. Decline plastic straws at restaurants

  4. Use your own cups at places like Starbucks or McDonalds

  5. Buy fresh produce from farmers markets

  6. Avoid single use food wrappers

  7. Use a refillery to restock cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and body care products

  8. Educate your family, friends, and coworkers to influence them to reduce their single use plastic waste
